Theodore (Ted) LaCourse passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022. Ted was born on September 4, 1932 to George Francis Heintschel and Geraldine Ada Mominee in Oregon, Ohio. After the death of his father, his mother marries Albert LaCourse who then adopts Ted as well as his brother and his sisters.
After graduating from Clay High School, Ted enlisted in the Navy.
In 1968, Ted met and married Elsie Lanane, becoming Ted’s “first mate” during Ted’s boating adventures on Lake Erie and trips to Aruba. Ted enjoyed boating in the summer and also in the winter as an avid boater.
Ted’s long career in real estate has made him the go-to person when buying or selling a home in Point Place. Ted’s motto was “The real estate agent with the Midas touch. Everything I list sells”. Ted only recently retired in 2017 because he really loved his job.
After his retirement, Ted spent all of his time with his beloved friend, Euzella Allison, who cared for him until his passing. Sincere gratitude to Zella, her daughter, Nancy, and her son-in-law, Dan Avery, for welcoming Ted into their family and for loving and caring for Ted.
Ted was predeceased by his parents, wife, Elsie, son, Ted, grandson, Matthew Lanane, sisters, Patricia Karoly, Phyllis Sayers, Geraldine Reynolds, and brother, Thomas. He leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral mass celebrated on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summit at 124th in Point Place.
