Stonehouse Pond Access Area will be temporarily closed October 16-19 – NH Fish and Game Department

Concord, NH – The public boat access facility serving Stonehouse Pond in Barrington will be closed from the late evening of Sunday October 16. The closure will last until Wednesday October 19 and the site will reopen on Thursday October 20. facilitate the re-grading of the access road through the property for the benefit of the public who use the NH Fish and Game boat access facility as well as those recreating in the Southeast Land Trust (SELT) of New Hampshire.

During this period, there will be no opportunity to use any part of the access road, parking areas or boat access location for any purpose. Hiking trails through the SELT property can be accessed from a SELT-operated parking lot located three-quarters of a mile east on Highway 9.

NH Fish and Game’s Statewide Public Boat Access program is funded by boat registration fees and federal wildlife and sportfishing restoration funds. Fish and Game’s Facilities Construction and Lands Division acquires land for public water access sites, renovates existing sites, and constructs new public boat access areas.
