One lucky contestant was the winner of a kayaking adventure in Port Austin on the CBS daytime television show, “Let’s Make a Deal.”
The trip was featured on an episode that aired Tuesday, December 7.
Contestant, “Commonesha,” who told host Wayne Brady her unusual first name was “made up” by his grandmother, turned down $ 1,500 and a chance to win what turned out to be a Toyota Corolla for a mysterious prize that hides behind curtain # 2.
The trip to Port Austin, which was the Prize Behind Curtain # 2, was described by the ‘Let’s Make a Deal’ announcer as a ‘four night kayak expedition’ for the winner and five guests to ‘explore’ the wrecks, Turnip Rock and the beauty of the shores of Lake Huron.
The winner was encouraged to ‘grab a bite and a beer’ at PAK’s Backyard Café and Beer Garden.
The price, which included the plane ticket, was valued at $ 6,086.
Port Austin Kayak and Bike, as well as Pak’s Backyard Café and Beer Garden, are located at 119 E. Spring St. in Port Austin.
âLet’s Make a Deal,â which airs at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday on CBS, has drawn as many as 4 million viewers since its current launch in 2009.
