Missy Pearson and Kristin Arnold took to the paddle for competition at Thursday’s Randolph County Corporate Challenge table tennis event.
The Silver Towne pair finished first and second in the women’s division, and led the world-renowned coin-minting company to a top spot in table tennis.
Workhorse’s Kamerin Ritter was the top dog in the men’s division.
On Saturday, Wick’s Pies had the best team in whiffle ball, but Cardinal Ethanol won the event by having two teams scoring majors. And in what could turn out to be a major turning point, Apex Ag Solutions managed to field a whiffle ball team and it propelled them to first place overall after three events.
The Wick’s Pies outfit of Glenallen, Ron & Will Anderson, Breaker, Destry & Shean Bosworth, Melissa Davis, Joshua Estep, Stephanie Mitchell, Amanda Yount fought their way to first place ahead of three other teams in the event. Cardinal Ethanol had the second-place and fourth-place team that tallied 26 points to win the Whiffle Ball event.
The Euchre event is scheduled to take place today at the WCHS Commons and the Cornhole event is Thursday at the YMCA. Pickle Ball is Saturday at the YMCA with men’s and women’s divisions.
