Move on – the fun is back! After closing for the cold winter, Cincinnati’s warmest seasonal spots are reopening for spring. Here’s a look at some of the big opening dates coming up.
Amusement park
Coney Island
This historic park dates back to 1867 and features the Sunlite Pool, water slides, a floating obstacle course, paddle boats, mini golf and more. The park reopens on May 28.
Island of Kings
The 364-acre amusement park turns 50 this year and reopens on April 16. Kings Island offers over 100 rides, shows and attractions, including 15 roller coasters, as well as the Soak City Water Park.
Land of Illusion Adventure Park
This water park has an inflatable water slide and a Wibit Adventure Zone on its lake, and its season starts on May 28.
Wake Nation Water Park
The season for this water park, which includes a floating playground, begins on May 28.
Drive-in movies
Automatic Party Theater
This drive-in has been around for 60 years and will reopen the weekend of April 1 or April 8, according to its Facebook page.
Starlite Cine-Park
This drive-in cinema will reopen this spring, no specific date yet.

Putz Creamery Whisk
This seasonal glacier reopens on March 28.

This seasonal Caribbean-themed restaurant and bar features live entertainment and reopens in April, with no specific date yet.
The Root Beer booth
This seasonal restaurant reopened on March 5. They sell hot dogs, cones, burgers, sandwiches, ice cream, fries, popcorn, soft drinks and lots of root beer.

Green Acres Kayak Rentals
This business rents out tubes and kayaks and reopens May 1, weather and river conditions permitting.
Canoe Rental in Little Miami
This business rents out canoes, kayaks, tubes, rafts and riverside camping, and will likely reopen around Memorial Day weekend.
Loveland Canoe and Kayak
The business rents out canoes and kayaks and will reopen in late April or early May.
Morgan’s Canoe
The business rents canoes, kayaks and rafts and is reopening this spring.
Zipline Adventures in the Ozone at YMCA Camp Kern
Camp’s Ozone Zipline Adventures is an outdoor zipline attraction that reopens May 1. Reservations are required, YMCA membership is not.
Sawyer Point Lands
Seasonal pickleball courts are available at Sawyer Point, and they open March 14, weather permitting.
Scenic canoe trips on the river
The business rents out boats, kayaks and buoys and is expected to reopen in mid-May.
Screaming Eagle Meet the Ark
This outdoor park offers zipline courses, an aerial challenge and free fall, and it reopens on March 11.

Sharon Woods Harbor Playground Water Feature
Sharon Wood Harbor is a hub of 730-acre Sharon Woods Park which includes a children’s water play area; it reopens on May 28.
Sharonville Family Aquatic Center
The center requires a membership, which is available to residents and non-residents and reopens in the spring, no specific date yet.
Winton Woods: Parky’s Ark Wet Playground
Winton Woods is a 2,555-acre park that includes Parky’s Ark Wet Playground, a children’s water playground; it reopens on May 28.
Woodland Mound: Parky’s Adventure in the Wetlands
Woodland Mound is a 1,066-acre park that includes Parky’s Wetland Adventure, a children’s water playground; it reopens on May 28.

Blue Ash Leisure Center Outdoor Pool
The heated 500,000-gallon Olympic pool reopens on Memorial Day weekend and is only accessible to members and their guests.

Cincinnati Recreation Commission
The city has 23 outdoor swimming pools. However, last year not all were open and it has not yet been announced which pools will reopen this year. The city also has nine “spraygrounds”, which are water playgrounds. All were open last year, but it has not yet been announced which ones will reopen this year. Fairfield Aquatic Center
The center, which features a waterslide, reopens May 28 and offers season passes and day tickets to residents and non-residents.
Florence Aquatic Center
This municipal swimming pool, with two slides, is open to residents and non-residents and reopens on May 28.
Gamble-Nippert YMCA

Greenhills Pool
Membership is required to use this outdoor pool, and the season begins May 28.
Goebel swimming pool
Goebel Park has a public swimming pool, which will be open daily from June 8 through August 4, and is limited to Covington residents with a pool pass.
Swimming pool of Mariemont
This village pool is only for village residents with season passes, and it will reopen on Memorial Day weekend.
ME Lyons YMCA

The veteran pool is a 25 meter pool with a diving well. Part of the Veterans Memorial Park. The swimming pool generally opens for the season at the beginning of June, no specific date yet.
Ziegler swimming pool
This public swimming pool offers passes and day tickets and will reopen on May 2.
