Federeick C. Moat

Kirkwood, NY – Frederick C. Moat, 72, Kirkwood NY, died suddenly on April 10, 2022 doing what he loved to do. Fred is predeceased by; his parents, Gerald and Theresa (Deinhardt) Moat. Fred is survived; his loving wife, Joanne (Blaisure) Moat; daughter, Michele (Gerald) Marcello; son, Richard Moat Sr.; grandson, Richard Moat Jr.; great-grandson, Bradley Moat; daughters-in-law, Jodie Blaisure, Julie (Chad) Marrano; granddaughters, Isabella and Gianna Marrano; brothers, Jerry Moat and Art Moat; sister, Rosella Chmiel. Fred worked at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center for 25 years and owned and operated South Mountain Landscaping for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling and mountain biking. He enjoyed all these activities with his best friend Steve Clements. Fred particularly enjoyed spending time with his wife whom he called “My JO-JO”. Fred was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Navy.

Family will greet friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at Savage-DeMarco Funeral Service 338-344 Conklin Ave Binghamton, NY 13903, a celebration of life will immediately follow at Conklin Fire Station #2 649 Conklin Forks RD Conklin, NY 13748. The family would like to thank all of the rescue agencies and volunteers who organized and assisted in the search for Fred. Condolences can be expressed online at www.SavageFS.com.
