Let’s Go Fishing Appreciates Support | To free

As Thanksgiving draws near and all the blessings in our lives, the volunteers of the Let’s Go Fishing East Central Minnesota section wish to thank our sponsors and contributors who donate to our organization, which allows us to provide day trips from two hour fishing or boating at no charge for our quests.

After having to cancel our 2020 season due to COVD 19, this year we were able to take 642 guests on 104 fishing and boating trips! Our volunteers gladly donated more than 860 hours of their time to make these trips.

And we were honored to be the Grand Marshall at the Ki Chi Saga Parade in Chisago City and our two pontoons participated in the parade.

Our two pontoons are wheelchair accessible, allowing people to fish or boating that might not have the chance to get out on the water otherwise. Our chapter was formed in 2005 and we serve the elderly, veterans, the disabled and multigenerational families ie: grandmother and grandfather with grandchildren. Some of our contributors have been supporting us for years, which allows us to focus on getting our guests out on the water. We serve people in Chisago, Isanti, Pine, Washington counties and beyond.

Guests tell us that traveling is a highlight of their summer and some even have photos of the fish they caught in their rooms. I think the old adage is true that it is more blessed to give than to receive, if you are someone who enjoys fishing or just being with people, please consider becoming one of our volunteers. To volunteer, call 651-402-5960 and leave a message.

We wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank you to everyone who supports Let’s go Fishing! Call us in the spring to plan a trip. Our trips run from June to the second week of September.
