Franklin County varsity and junior football teams have rescheduled their out-of-district games against Salem that were postponed last week due to COVID 19 issues in high school.
FCHS (0-1), set to resume action on Friday in Lynchburg against Class 4 state semifinalist Liberty Christian Academy, will face reigning Class 4 state champion Salem on Tuesday. October 19 at Salem Stadium-Willis White Field.
Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
This gives the Eagles three games in eight days, starting with their Blue Ridge District home opener on Friday, Oct. 15 against William Byrd and ending with a visit to the League Foe and semi-finalist of State Class 5 William Fleming on Friday October 22.
This is the third FCHS game on Tuesday night in program history and the Eagles are 2-0 that day – they beat Magna Vista at home in the 2000 season and Northside last spring. .
FCHS ‘jayvee team have postponed their Salem game to Monday, October 11 at Dillon Stadium. Kick-off is at 6 p.m.
This gives the jayvees three games in eight days, starting with their Blue Ridge District opener against Staunton River at home on Thursday October 7th and ending with a trip to Vinton for a championship game against William Byrd on Thursday 14th. October.
The FCHS jayvees have postponed their game against Bassett for Monday, September 13 at Ed Bassett Stadium. Kick-off is at 6 p.m.
It also gives the FCHS three games in eight days, starting with Thursday’s home game against Liberty Christian and ending with a home game against Magna Vista on Thursday, September 16.
