BOISE – On January 26, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation celebrated the grand opening of their new headquarters in Boise. The building is located at 600 S. Walnut Street.

At the open-air dedication ceremony, staff members were joined by the seven Fish and Game Commissioners, as well as members of the public, former staff and commissioners, legislators and special guests. The ceremony was followed by an indoor reception.

“It was great to celebrate the completion of a building where Fish and Game’s head office staff can finally be together again after so long,” said Hilarie Engle, executive director of the Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation. “The Foundation is proud of its partnership with the department to accomplish this, which reflects our shared commitment to Idaho wildlife conservation.”

The new three-story building brings headquarters staff together under one roof for the first time in more than 20 years.

Fish and Game will lease the new building for a period of 25 years, before taking ownership. The head office in Boise is open to the public and all licensing services are available, including purchasing hunting and fishing permits and tags and applying for controlled hunts.
