See you: The Victorian Fisheries Authority is hosting a series of forums across the state for boaters and anglers, including one in Nagambie on May 17.
Recreational anglers and boaters will have the chance to discuss their ideas at a forum in Nagambie on May 17th.
The Victorian Fisheries Authority held several forums in mid-2021; however, some sessions have been postponed in response to COVID-19.
VFA’s Travis Dowling said the rescheduled forums will give fishing and boating enthusiasts the opportunity to share ideas and ask questions while listening to local fisheries officers, Better Boating Victoria and various fisheries management staff. .
“Our teams oversee the largest boat launch program in state history, consecutive years of record stocking, continued reinvestment of fishing license fees, and education and compliance important,” Dowling said.
The Nagambie Forum will include an hour-long presentation by a range of VFA and BBV employees on topics such as improved access to fishing and boating, boat ramp upgrades water and new fish cleaning tables, fisheries science and research, law enforcement, education and many more.
“With subject matter experts, you can get clarity on issues you’re debating with friends while you’re in the boat or by a river somewhere,” Dowling said.
