DELACROIX, Louisiana – A native of Ferriday was seriously injured and two of his friends were killed in a boating accident in the parish of Bas-Saint-Bernard last week.

A New Orleans news channel reported that the crash involving two boats near Delacroix Island occurred around 1 p.m. on Friday, August 27, as emergency services prepared for the hurricane. Ida.
