DELACROIX, Louisiana – A native of Ferriday was seriously injured and two of his friends were killed in a boating accident in the parish of Bas-Saint-Bernard last week.

A New Orleans news channel reported that the crash involving two boats near Delacroix Island occurred around 1 p.m. on Friday, August 27, as emergency services prepared for the hurricane. Ida.

It was reported that five people were injured and two people were missing after the crash and the Coast Guard and several local agencies were involved in the rescue mission and investigation.

Patrick McKenna, from Ferriday, Louisiana, was one of the victims. His wife, SueAnn Webber McKenna, said he didn’t feel comfortable speaking to the media.
