SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) — The World Fishing Fair, a one-of-a-kind event for outdoor enthusiasts, comes to Springfield as Bass Pro Shops celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Bass Pro’s Springfield flagship store, located at 1935 S. Campbell Ave., will host the World Fishing Fair from March 30 through April 3.

The organizers consider the World Fishing Fair to be one of the biggest fishing-themed events in the world. Thousands of people are expected to gather for a five-day celebration of fishing, conservation and the great outdoors. The fair will feature several exhibits, vendors, seminars, concerts, and boat and fishing gear sales.

Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Chris Janson, John Anderson and Hank Williams Jr. are all set to perform throughout the event. Many professional anglers and NASCAR legends will also make appearances throughout the week.

Organizers estimate the economic impact of the World Fishing Fair at $80 million. Proceeds from concert tickets and general ticket sales will benefit conservation partners.

“Springfield is proud to be the world headquarters of Bass Pro Shops and the home of the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium,” the City of Springfield said at the event. “We congratulate Johnny Morris and Bass Pro on the 50th anniversary this year.”

A section of Campbell Avenue near Sunshine Street will be closed for the entire fair. Travelers are encouraged to keep an eye on digital message boards throughout the week with instructions and to CLICK HERE for a map of traffic impacts and considerations.

Tickets for the entire fair, excluding concerts, are available for as little as $10. Military members can get tickets for as little as $5, and 100% of military ticket sales will be donated to conservation.
