Over 20 years ago, Subaru brought the WRX to America, and it blew away the competition like no other car. The vehicle was an AWD sedan that could have been driven on any road or no road. It had a turbocharged engine with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The biggest obstacle to the Subaru WRX was its affordability. The 2022 WRX receives a redesign, new versions and many options for customers. However, the basic idea of the car remains the same as an off-road oriented sedan that can happily cruise around the city while going to the mountains without breaking a sweat.
The WRX is a flawless machine, backed by Subaru’s legendary off-road technology and inspired by its rally car. This is the 5th generation WRX, and it features a better and more powerful engine and a new global platform alongside infotainment and other interior updates. Subaru also claims that this is the most comprehensive update given to the WRX to date.

The 2022 Subaru WRX is an excellent sedan with a lot of heritage. The trimmings are well sorted and offer a good balance between functionality, luxury and technology. The WRX may be a step ahead of the Civic Si when it comes to power, but the Honda’s extremely affordable price makes it great value.
